Methyl salicylate: A colorless liquid, having the characteristic odor and taste of wintergreen. It is typically used as a flavoring agent.

Nafion: DuPont's brand name for a series of fluorinated sulfonic acid copolymers.

Thyroxine: A iodinated derivative of the amino acid tyrosine, plays an important role in childhood development, metabolism regulation, and breaking down fats and proteins.
