1. Structures searching within articles

Some RSC journal articles have been enhanced to enable structure searching. You can enter a SMILES string or draw the structure that you are looking for - or paste in a structure from ChemDraw or IsisDraw.

2. Molecules of the Month (April 2008)

Escitalopram: selective serotonin uptake inhibitor, used as an antidepressant.

Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP): most widely used plasticizer for PVC and other plastics.

Cyclopentadiene: precursor to the popular cyclopentadienyl-ligand ('Cp') in in organometallic chemistry.
